To interject a personal/sentimental story for a minute: Last year, on the eve of the Cardinals Super Bowl trip Berry hosted what would be the final "rage" of the season. His guest was Adrian Wilson. A-dub gives more meaning to the phrase "speak softly and carry a big stick" than ol' Teddy Roosevelt ever could. Listening to the two of them, Berry at the time an 11 year veteran and Wilson a life long Cardinal who had previously never even sniffed the playoffs, much less the Super Bowl, marvel at what they were about to go play for was the moment when it finally set in for me as a fan. I'd like to say "I'll never forget that moment" but the truth is whiskey/gin has made me forget a lot of things (and unfortunately say a few as well) so instead I'll say "I hope never to forget that moment."
Moving on from the personal and onto the professional- so to speak. The Cards already were in desperate need to upgrade their OLB spot. This only accentuates that. Whether through free agency, the draft, or a combo of both, upgrading the OLB spot is now firmly entrenched as the Cards #1 off season priority.
Couple notes before we bounce-
- Kent Somers outlined the WR position today and focused mainly on the Anquan Boldin saga. We here at Wadsworth have previously given a few thoughts on the Q situation, and will most certainly provide a much more comprehensive analysis on the issue in due time. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
- This one is for our favorite commenter-Reed. We recently went a little hard after Reed and his affection for LOST which was completely unfair. While your recent comments make me wonder if a few Matthew Fox pictures were the best way to regain your affection we simply couldn't do it as he was in that one movie with Matthew McConaughey and that movie fucking sucked, bad. So hopefully this will get us back in your good graces.
First, let me say the title of your post freaked me out a little. I thought you were giving up on this venture and then I had a slight nervous breakdown. I mean, how am I gonna share my deepest darkest secrets regarding actresses that are usually described as annoying, awful, and ugly.
ReplyDeleteNow that I know the whole post was on bertrand berry, however, I feel no fear and definitely no pity. I'm goin' in:
"Self-promoting without crossing the line of egotistical."
Are we talking about the same dude here? The same dude who got suspended and subsequently thrown off the broncos roster for being "self-promoting" and "egotistical." I mean, fuck it. I'm glad he was a fan favorite and I'm glad cardinals fans are so loyal to our sloppy seconds. I hope everytime you watch him you get a little residual taste of broncos weiner in your mouth.
Yes!
As for the matthew fox comments, I'm gonna let it slide. If only for the fact that you padded it with a picture of one of the most beautiful ladies to ever walk on god's green mystical island.
Peace out bertrand. You were funny.
My title was a tie in to the fact that he hosted a radio show out here (as mentioned). At least mildly creative, right? Truth be told I spend about equal time writing the posts as I do trying to come up with creative titles. In fact I still believe my Jonas Brothers inspired title was pure yet unappreciated brilliance. You Wadsworth followers are a tough crowd to please!
ReplyDeleteAs far as Bertrand, yes that'd be the same one, and yes I had a feeling that was coming. Might I bring up a name from your past real quick to illustrate a greater point. Eddie Kennison. You might remember Eddie as another former Bronco who was suspended and eventually let go for being a tad on the egotistical side. Similar to B-train, once eddie left denver his career blossomed. Im noticing a trend here (yes 2 people makes a trend!) Hence forth the broncos will be considered a team which represents over sensitivity as well as preventing talented players from reaching their potential.
Damn, I tried to get back in your good graces and here I go insulting you and your beloved team again. Guess Ill have to find another attractive actress to link in the next blog post. Maybe i'll toss in a quick pick of Matthew Fox for the lady followers- and not for you (wink wink).
